Anastasia Balmakova, an assistant at Kazan Agrarian University, explained to Gazeta.Ru how to recognize cognitive dysfunction syndrome in dogs: after the age of 8–9, at least one symptom is found in 20–60% of senior animals. The disease cannot be cured, but its progression can be slowed — through a stable routine, antioxidants, omega-3, and mental stimulation.
