Javokhir Sindarov wins Saint Louis tournament ahead of the world title match
20-year-old Uzbek chess player Javokhir Sindarov won the Clutch Chess: Champions Showdown 2026 tournament in Saint Louis, scoring 20.5 points and earning $168,000. It was his last official event before the world championship match against Gukesh Dommaraju, which starts on November 22 in Geneva.
