West Nile virus death toll in the Netherlands reaches 12
According to RIVM, 12 patients with West Nile virus have already died in the Netherlands, with 77 cases confirmed in total since the beginning of 2026. The spread of the infection has slowed: only one new case was recorded over the past week.
