UK to send Typhoon fighter jets to Saudi Arabia to defend against Houthi attacks
The British government announced the deployment of RAF Typhoon fighter jets to Saudi Arabia for defensive missions amid an escalation of Houthi missile and drone attacks. The aircraft will not strike the Houthis. In addition, an A400M transport aircraft and military advisers are being sent, and air-to-air refuelling has been extended by 90 days. The decision followed the October 10 strike on Riyadh airport, which killed 13 people.
