Search for Amelia Earhart's plane resumes after storm at Nikumaroro Island
A Purdue University and Archaeological Legacy Institute expedition has resumed work on the uninhabited atoll of Nikumaroro (Kiribati) after a three-day delay caused by a storm. The team is investigating the 'Taraia object' in the lagoon, which may be wreckage of the Lockheed Electra that vanished in 1937 along with Amelia Earhart.
