Opisthorchiasis outbreak under investigation in Pugachyov, Saratov Region: 19 people infected
Rospotrebnadzor has launched a sanitary and epidemiological investigation after a cluster of opisthorchiasis cases was registered in Pugachyov, Saratov Region. By November 5, 19 people had fallen ill; according to the inspection, all of them had bought dried fish at stores of the Pivzavod chain. The pathogen was found in dried ide, and the dangerous batch has been seized.
