British parliamentarians denied entry to the West Bank: delegation detained for eight hours
An international delegation of 23 people, including three British parliamentarians and a representative of the Spanish Senate, was detained and denied entry to the West Bank by Israeli authorities while attempting to cross the border from Jordan. The delegation had come to support Palestinian farmers during the olive harvest. The incident coincided with the closure of crossings amid Israel's elections and an escalation of violence in the West Bank.
