Pokémon card collection stored in an attic for 15 years sold at auction for £1.56 million
A pensioner from Woking (Surrey) sold at Ewbank's auction house a collection of 42 Pokémon card sets for £1.56 million ($2.09 million) — according to the auction house, the most expensive sale of collectible cards in UK history and a possible European record. The man bought the sets in the late 1990s–2000s and kept them in the attic, unaware of their value.
