Burkina Faso's Parliament Reinstates the Death Penalty After Eight Years of Ban
Burkina Faso's Legislative Assembly unanimously approved a new Penal Code reinstating the death penalty for treason, terrorism and espionage. The decision was supported by 71 deputies. The country abolished capital punishment in 2018.
