EU to accelerate the disbursement of €45 billion to Ukraine amid a deepening financial crisis
The European Commission has decided to concentrate the second part of the €90 billion loan — €45 billion for 2027 — in the first half of the year, changing the previous schedule. Of this, €31.7 billion will go to military needs and €13.3 billion to the budget, conditional on reforms. In parallel, Brussels is seeking a way to close a €70 billion shortfall next year.
