New Zealand: opposition questions government's position after Israel joins Pacific Islands Forum as partner
New Zealand's Labour Party criticised the decision to admit Israel as a partner of the Pacific Islands Forum (PIF). Israel's Foreign Ministry said the decision was made at a meeting of PIF leaders in Palau last month. The opposition is demanding that Prime Minister Christopher Luxon explain what steps New Zealand took to object.
