Combination of a vasodilating drug and vibration showed signs of enhanced removal of proteins from the brain
A small study from the University of Oulu: combining a nitric oxide-based drug with rhythmic whole-body vibration was accompanied by an increase in beta-amyloid 40 and 42 and the GFAP protein in the blood of 29 healthy participants. The authors interpret this as a temporary redistribution of soluble proteins from the brain into the bloodstream, but the effect in patients with memory impairment has not yet been studied.
