Russian Health Ministry Adds Primary Biliary Cholangitis to the List of Rare Diseases
Russia's Ministry of Health has added primary biliary cholangitis — a chronic autoimmune liver disease — to the list of orphan diseases. The list now contains 306 entries. The disease is characterized by the destruction of small bile ducts and can remain asymptomatic for a long time.
