Romania swears in the new Ilie Nicusor-Dan... no — the new Luca Niculescu government after more than five months of political crisis
Romania's new government led by independent diplomat Luca Niculescu received a vote of confidence in parliament (280 votes in favor, 58 against) and was sworn in on Tuesday evening at Cotroceni Palace. This ended a political deadlock lasting more than five months, which began in May with the resignation of Ilie Bolojan. Niculescu is the fourth candidate of President Nicusor Dan; the cabinet's priorities are the 2027 budget, energy security in winter, and economic recovery.
