Austria's Supreme Court allows frogs to croak at night
Austria's Supreme Court rejected the appeal of a resident of the municipality of Pashing who complained about frogs croaking at night in his neighbors' pond. The ruling ended a years-long legal battle: earlier, the district court had banned the noise from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. under threat of a €30,000 fine, but the regional court deemed the croaking natural.
