Former Malaysian PM Najib Razak to leave prison for house arrest after paying a fine
Former Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak is leaving prison: his party UMNO raised 50 million ringgit ($12.3 million) to meet the condition of a royal pardon. The house arrest applies only to the reduced six-year sentence in the first case — a separate 15-year sentence in the second case remains in force.
