Tashkent discussed municipal bond issuance with Oppenheimer & Co. and signed a cooperation agreement
On October 21, Tashkent mayor Shavkat Umarzakov met with Max Lamy, Oppenheimer & Co.'s head of investment banking for EMEA. The parties discussed the city's access to international capital markets, municipal bond issuance, public-private partnerships and attracting investment into infrastructure, signing a cooperation agreement. Details of the issuance were not disclosed. The city administration also held talks with Aquatech International on modernizing the water sector.
