Rospotrebnadzor: no outbreaks of mouse fever recorded in Russia in 2026
Rospotrebnadzor stated that since the beginning of 2026, not a single outbreak of hemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome has been registered in Russia, and the incidence corresponds to long-term average figures. The agency explains periodic rises in incidence by a 3–5 year cycle linked to the bank vole population. Earlier, 1512 cases were reported in five regions.
