Sirens for emergency alerts are being installed in mosques in Uzbekistan
The Ministry of Emergency Situations, together with the United Nations Development Programme, has installed emergency alert equipment in 272 mosques in seven regions prone to natural hazards. The system will cover about 6.5 million people and will work even during disruptions to communications and electricity supply.
