Concert by Maxim Galkin in Istanbul cancelled after protests over his stance on Israel
The concert by Maxim Galkin, scheduled for October 25, 2026 at the Harbiye hall of the Istanbul Congress Center, did not take place. According to TRT, the cancellation was preceded by a campaign in Turkish media and social networks demanding that the artist's performance be prevented because of his public support for Israel. The organizers stated that the decision was made by the Governor of Istanbul on grounds of public order and safety.
