Flock CEO said the company's microphones detect 'only gunshots,' even though the company's website describes broader capabilities
At TechCrunch Disrupt, Flock CEO Garrett Langley claimed that the Gunshot Detection system's microphones only pick up the sounds of gunshots. However, materials on the company's website describe the recognition of fireworks, car crashes, street takeovers, and other events. Flock confirmed that the technology can identify fireworks, sideshows, and possible crashes, but does not analyze speech and does not recognize cries for help.
