Turkey proposes a global initiative to protect maritime chokepoints and transport corridors
Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, speaking at the TRT World Forum in Istanbul, called for creating a global initiative to protect maritime chokepoints and the resilience of international connectivity. He warned of the risks of military confrontation in the Black Sea and instability around the Strait of Hormuz and Bab el-Mandeb, and also presented Turkey's regional cooperation formats.
