Fence breach at Leipzig airport: two men turned themselves in to police, incident likely linked to a driving lesson
Overnight into Saturday, damage to the perimeter fence was discovered at Leipzig/Halle airport near Russian Antonov An-124 cargo aircraft. Police conducted a large-scale search, and on Sunday evening two men aged 20 and 32 turned themselves in to authorities, saying they were preparing for a driving test and lost control of the car. This is the second security incident at the airport in three months, following a drone attack in August that Berlin blamed on Russia.
