Estonia's Supreme Court ends dispute: Orthodox church premises in central Tallinn will pass to the city
Estonia's Supreme Court (Riigikohus) on 19 October 2026 refused to accept the cassation appeal of the Estonian Christian Orthodox Church, ending a years-long dispute over the lease of premises on Pikk Street in favour of Tallinn. The lease agreement was terminated by the district administration on 17 April 2024, and all court instances found this lawful. The parties are agreeing on the timeline for vacating the premises.
