White House Press Secretary Katie Zachariah leaves the post five days after appointment
White House Press Secretary Katie Zachariah is 'transitioning out of the role,' an administration official said on Friday. Earlier, Donald Trump told reporters that he had advised her to 'reconsider' her decision to work in the position, citing harsh media coverage of her work. Zachariah was appointed in early October, succeeding Karoline Leavitt, and her first briefing lasted about 15 minutes.
