Zakharova calls Kallas a “scarecrow” amid dispute over inviting Putin to the G20 summit in Miami
Russian Foreign Ministry official spokesperson Maria Zakharova, in an interview with kp.ru, spoke sharply about EU diplomacy chief Kaja Kallas, who criticized the US decision to invite Vladimir Putin to the G20 summit in Miami on December 14–15. The invitation itself was confirmed by US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, while the Kremlin has not yet made a final decision on the trip.
