From July 1, 2027, an investigative judge in Uzbekistan will verify the validity of suspicion before restricting liberty
Under paragraph 9 of presidential decree UP-160 of August 14, 2026, from July 1, 2027, when considering motions for procedural coercive measures, the investigative judge will have to verify not only the legality of detention but also the sufficiency of grounds for suspicion or accusation.
