Leaders of Israel's Arab Parties Pledge to Unite to Oust Netanyahu in October 27 Election
Leaders of three parties of the Arab 'Joint List' — Yousef Jabareen, Ahmad Tibi and Sami Abu Shehade — said at a press conference in Haifa that high Arab voter turnout in the Knesset elections on October 27, 2026 would prevent the formation of a new government by Benjamin Netanyahu. Polls show the list receiving about nine seats, but the leaders acknowledge that an alternative government will not necessarily meet their aspirations.
