France rejected Orbán's candidacy for UN Secretary-General after reports of US support
French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barro spoke out sharply against the nomination of former Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán for the post of UN Secretary-General. The statement followed a report by The Wall Street Journal that the US administration considers Orbán a suitable candidate.
