Moldova proposal would bar officials' salaries from rising faster than teachers' pay
Former Moldovan prime minister Ion Chicu proposed limiting pay raises for the president, prime minister and deputies. The move came after the finance minister announced that salaries of top officials would be raised under a pay reform starting in 2027.
