French police oversight opened four investigations into the events of October 17
France's National Police Inspectorate (IGPN) opened four investigations into alleged cases of police violence during the protests of October 17, Franceinfo reported. Earlier, on October 13, Interior Minister Laurent Nuñez had spoken of 36 investigations since the start of the student mobilization.
