Volkswagen plans to freeze salaries worldwide until 2030, IG Metall reports
The union IG Metall said Volkswagen has ordered a suspension of salary increases at the 2026 level until 2030. The directive has been in effect since early October and applies to HR managers worldwide. The union is demanding a 5% pay increase over 12 months and expects strong resistance to the plan.
