Scientists enhanced the protein that triggers muscle repair: what the experiments showed
A team at Kyushu University has found a compound that protects the HGF protein from age-related chemical modification and more than doubles its binding to the c-Met receptor, which is responsible for launching the repair of muscle fibers. The work was published in Scientific Reports; its effectiveness in aging animals has not yet been tested.
