Two-thirds of pledged funds to fight Ebola in Africa have not yet been disbursed
Africa CDC director Jean Kaseya said that only about a third of the roughly $2.9 billion in international assistance pledged to fight the Ebola outbreak has been disbursed. The Bundibugyo strain outbreak has affected four countries — the DR Congo, Uganda, Kenya and Nigeria; in the DR Congo, according to government figures, more than 5,000 people have died.
