Surgeons at the Military Medical Academy in Saint Petersburg reconstructed the eye socket of a patient who lost an eye after a gunshot wound. The Academy's own technique made it possible to perform in a single operation interventions that previously required several stages. Vision cannot be restored, but the prosthesis will gain support and mobility.
