Relatives of the victims of the 2022 Itaewon crowd crush are outraged that real footage of rescue operations from the tragedy site was used in the opening scene of the new game Call of Duty. Activision confirmed the use of the recordings but stated it did not intend to reference the disaster or 'trivialize' it, and did not comment on the demand to fix the scene.
