Russia claims capture of Dobropillia, Ukraine denies: front-line situation
Chief of the Russian General Staff Valery Gerasimov reported to Vladimir Putin the capture of Dobropillia and the seizure, since September 1, of 1,800 sq. km and 92 settlements. Ukraine rejects these claims: according to Zelensky, since the start of autumn the Armed Forces of Ukraine have liberated more territory than the Russians have occupied. Fighting for the city continues, with both sides claiming to control it.
