UK audit regulator opens review of Manchester City's accounts
The Financial Reporting Council (FRC) confirmed that since 30 September it has been investigating accounting breaches at Manchester City, having taken over the case from ICAEW. A formal investigation has not yet begun. This follows the independent commission's verdict on breaches of Premier League financial rules, which the club is appealing.
