Macron ruled out foreign interference in the protests in France, but condemned information manipulation
French President Emmanuel Macron said he sees no 'visible foreign interference' in the protests, but noted 'foreign manipulation of information,' including images created by artificial intelligence. He also condemned comments by 'foreign leaders.' The protests began in late September over problems in the education sector; on October 17 more than half a million people took to the streets, with new actions scheduled for October 24.
