Russia sets record for fish purchases from Turkey
In September 2026, Russian fish imports from Turkey reached $72.6 million — 1.5 times more than a year earlier and 34% more than in August. Frozen fish accounted for the bulk of supplies at $55.3 million. At the same time, pollock is becoming more expensive on the domestic market: the wholesale price in the Far East rose to 215 rubles per kilogram.
