Women footballers prepare lawsuit against FIFA over World Cup prize money gap
Representatives from 45 countries and the union FIFPRO demanded from FIFA equal prize money for the men's and women's World Cups. Without an agreement before the 2027 tournament in Brazil, the players are considering a lawsuit. In 2023, the women's tournament received $110 million versus $655 million for the men in 2026.
