Experimental drug KCL-286 reduced neuronal DNA damage in Alzheimer's disease in a mouse study
Scientists at King's College London have published in the journal FEBS Open Bio the results of testing the drug KCL-286 in a mouse model of Alzheimer's disease: the substance reduced double-strand DNA breaks in neurons and signs of neuroinflammation. The drug has already passed a phase one safety trial in humans, but its efficacy in dementia has not yet been studied.
