Glasgow museums removed mummified Egyptian remains from display on ethical grounds
Kelvingrove removed the mummy of the priest Necht and fragments of remains from the Valley of the Kings, while the Hunterian Museum covered the body of Lady Shep-en-Hor with cloth, leaving the sarcophagus on view. The decisions are linked to the revision of the Icom code of ethics. National Museums Scotland said they do not plan to change their display.
