Esther Rantzen: posthumous note on being 'denied choice' over her own death
The family of broadcaster Dame Esther Rantzen, who died on 30 September at the age of 86, has published her farewell message. In it, the founder of Childline, who suffered from stage four lung cancer, wrote that she was 'denied any choice over her own death' due to the existing assisted dying legislation. The funeral was held privately.
