Peskov: Russia is interested in all profitable gas sales markets
Press secretary of the Russian president Dmitry Peskov said that Russia is interested in supplying gas to any economically profitable markets, commenting on the prospects for exports to Europe. At the same time, the EU is abandoning Russian gas according to an approved schedule: the ban on LNG will come into force on January 1, 2027, and on pipeline gas on September 30, 2027. According to Eurostat, in August 2026 Russia became the third-largest gas supplier to the EU, with purchases reaching €1.26 billion.
