Feminist journal Emma, published for nearly 50 years, is closing in Germany
The German feminist journal Emma will cease publication after nearly half a century of existence. The publication's founder Alice Schwarzer told Der Spiegel that the final two issues will come out on October 27 and December 8, 2026. According to her, the decision is not related to economics — the editorial team is 'tired'. The journal's archive will be transferred to the Literary Archive in Marbach in the summer of 2027.
