Germany expected to lose another 300,000 jobs in the metals and electrical industry
Oliver Zander, head of the employers' association Gesamtmetall, said that if the industries' underutilized capacity persists, another 300,000 jobs could be lost over two to three years. This comes against the backdrop of 350,000 jobs already cut and a bitter wage dispute with the union IG Metall.
