Hybrid Electra aircraft takes off from a Manhattan heliport for the first time, using a run of just 46 meters
Electra conducted a test flight of its hybrid-electric EL2 aircraft from the Downtown Skyport heliport in Manhattan. According to the company, this is the first time an aircraft incapable of vertical takeoff has performed a takeoff and landing at such a site. The takeoff run was about 46 meters.
