Number of Uzbeks leaving to study abroad fell by a third
According to the National Statistics Committee, in January–September 2026, 16,522 citizens of Uzbekistan left abroad to study — 33% fewer than a year earlier. Russia became the leader by the number of departing students, whereas a year earlier Tajikistan held first place.
