Milan granted UN flagship programme status for nature restoration
The Forestami project, which is planting three million trees in Milan over four years, has become one of five UN ecosystem restoration flagships and the only one in Europe. At the same time, UNEP published a report: restoration is under way on 252 million hectares in 149 countries, but the pace is insufficient.
